1 GOTN MARCH 11th DET v LA on Fri 11 Mar 2016, 5:39 pm

Tuesday's highlighted affair had a hungry Jackets team head into Dallas and come up flat footed in their effort. Falling 6-1 to the host squad who were led by thatoneshot22 who showcased a brilliant 60 minutes & ironically only had one of his shots not send the home crowd into a frenzy finishing with 3 and about 30 new hats tossed by the rabid fans. The lone bright spot for CBJ Smash found the back of the onion bag and the monkey that was on his back was spotted heading out a back exit at American Airlines arena.

Friday night is always a treat here at the SPSN desk and tonight we get a solid matchup in a cross conference battle between a couple of the powerhouse squads in the SPNHL. The LA Kings will be taking the 5 hour trek from LAX to DFW and will be in town to face the Hockeytowns own and the Eastern Conference leading Detroit Redwings. This matchup is the second of the season with GM Entry getting the last laugh the first time winning a tight one 4-3 after trash talking the wings and calling his win to the SPSN on social media. He has toned down this week and we haven't seen anything pop in our feeds to ignite the home players

The main question surrounding the Kings is have they finally found the right mix of guys to accompany their superstars?  GM entry has been extremely active on the phones this season wheeling and dealing at a pace nearly unprecedented here in the SPNHL. Despite all the moves the Kings have been a force to be reckoned with and sit comfortably in the top tier of the standings after the halfway mark. The most recent transaction saw highly coveted D puckU head cross country to  Columbus in a move reuniting pistolpete7788 with the team he spent last season with. GM Entry has played in nearly every game this season and for good reason his numbers on D are among the best in the league and when emergency arises he is a backup G every team wishes they had access to. Freedo, Muffin & Bones are the only other guys still here from draft day and u can see why when doing a quick scan of scoresheets as these guys always seem to have their names littered all over it.

The Redwings are coming off a relocation from Washington and haven't skipped a beat after making the Finals in S17. GM Cuzwell retained one of the top players and historically a league leader in jersey sales and fan support Lo Maximus who as always is producing at a very high clip. He's joined up front by a couple longtime SPNHL All Stars Killer"not just a Goalie" rampage and S17 top scorer Triix who both have proved position is just a letter and no matter where they are suited up or who against they'll be playing at the highest level. One issue the Wings have been running into is finding that #1 keeper Cuzwell has made his annual blunder of keeping an inactive on the roster. Can GolpeMiPene take the reigns?? We at the desk suspect going forward he's going to shore up the crease. The GM himself is a fine keeper and they do have a sleeping giant in Killer if needed but it's our opinion unless they get another D Detroit's best shot to make it back to the Finals is having Cuz locking it down on D. This team plays a very solid mix of puck possession and lock down D and a reason why LA will have their hands full. Tune into the SPSN network at 10:30 to see how the game unfolds
